Principal’s News

Dear Calais Families,

We are fast approaching field trip season. Next week will mark the beginning of the end for our sixth graders as they head over to U-32 for Unity Day on Friday. Thank you in advance for your help with getting students to school on time and with the right gear for trips and special events.

This week, the 4th graders took on the Science NECAP. We were very impressed by their focus, diligence, and commitment to showing all they know and can do. Congratulations 4th grade!

Last week, I asked you to mark your calendars for our June 5th Literacy Night. We are still working on a catchy name, but we have decided that this evening will include a celebration of writing and a whole school book swap. If you are able, please drop a book or two off in the library by Monday, June 3rd. Receiving the books early will help us get them organized for viewing and exchanging ahead of time.

Finally, congratulations to all from CES who ran and walked in last night’s Corporate Cup. Thank you, Mrs. T, for organizing our teams and making sure there was plenty of Cougar spirit out there!

Have a great weekend!

Marissa
