KENT MUSEUM EXHIBIT OPENS
It is that time of year again and Kent Museum will open its doors for a much anticipated exhibition featuring locally crafted furnishings in wood, metal, clay, glass and fiber on October 1, 2, 7, 8 and 9. The opening is from 3:00 - 5:00 on Saturday, October 1. Be sure to mark your calendars now!
Additionally, in response to the recent devastation from Hurricane Irene, a silent auction is planned to coincide with the exhibition. Featuring a wide variety of beautiful craft, the event will raise funds for CERF+ (Craft Emergency Relief Fund and Artists’ Emergency Resources) so that they can continue their emergency support to craft artists. Also of interest this year, local artists and community members will help raise funds by creating one-of-a-kind chairs which will be auctioned off at the show's closing reception on Sunday, October 9 at 4:00. A community potluck will follow. Join us in the fun while at the same time raising funds for craft artists in need. See you at The Kent Museum!
