Dear Parents and Families,

On Tuesday, April 10^th, Calais K-6 students will present an authentic assessment of their knowledge and skills in music with a performance demonstration.  The annual Spring Concert is organized and executed under the direction of Calais music teacher, Steve Owens.  Students are asked to be at school by 6:00 and go directly to their classroom where they will be met by their classroom teacher.  Teachers will bring their grade level class to the gym for the performance.  The Spring Concert will begin promptly at 6:15.  Please mark your calendars for April 10^th, at 6:00 PM.

 The Celebration of Giving is an annual tradition at Calais.  The event offers our children an opportunity to bring food items from home to be donated to the Woodbury/Calais Food Shelf.  Canned and non-perishable food items are collected over the course of two weeks.  In the morning of the celebration all the food is collected by classrooms and weighed. 

This year the First Grade class did the collecting and weighing and using this information they created a data chart.  This year students donated 372 lbs. of food! 

I wish to thank students and families for this very generous donation.
